Advantages of the product
1. High efficiency and fast action
With a properly performed treatment, the efectiveness of combating nuisance pests reaches up to 100%.
2. Application on a wide range of crops
It fights harmful insects and mites that feed on many crops (fruit, vegetable and ornamental). It is used in the protection of crops for which there are currently no registered insecticides or acaricides (eg.)
3. Low product dosage
Smaller doses (up to 10x) compared to traditional pesticides available on the market.
4. Flexibility of application
No specific application dates – can be used multiple times during the entire growing season.
5. No negative impact on bees/low risk for bees
The conducted studies and risk assessment of K-PAK on honey bees show that the product does not cause unacceptable negative effects on these beneficial insects. Nevertheless, the product should be used out of bee activity periods.
6. Does not cause pest's immunisation
It does not select resistant pest breeds due to physical mechanism of action. It fights pests that quickly become resisatant to traditional plant protection products. The product is part of anti-immune strategy.
7. Enables the cultivation of plants without pesticides residues
The product does not require any chemical active substances contained in traditional pesticides (no problem of residues of these substances in the crops of the protected plant). The growing demand for healthy, safe food without plant protection products’ residues is the future thet farmers and plant growers must follow. Currently, the market focuses on quality, which is why manufactures should implement the latest and proven solutions.

Information

USE WITH INSECTICIDES AND ACARICIDES
In the case of high pests intensity, especially those difficult to control, K-PAK can be used in conjuction with traditional insecticides, e.g. containing the active substance abamectin, such as GROT 18 EC. The conducted laboratory tests show full compatability of Grot 18 EC and K-PAK agents.
The combined use of K-PAK with traditional insecticides or acaricides is a very practical solution and will allow for more effective control of particularly nuisance pests. By using such mixtures, we obtain a combination of two mechanisms of action on pests in one treatment: physical and biochemical. This solution allows to reduce the selsction of pest resistant forms to the traditional insecticide used. K-PAK also increases traction and spreads the traditional plant protector better over the plant surface.
When the pest (e.g. aphids) comes into contact with water, their respiratory system is closed, which inactivates the pest. However, when the leaves are fully dry, the aphids restore their life processes again. When using the K-PAK product, the wettability is very high, as a result of which water and plant protection agent gets inside the insect’s oraginsm, causing it to die.
Before using a tank mixture of K-PAK preparation with any other plant protection product, such a mixture should be checked for physical compatibility and to exclude possible phytotoxicity.
USE WITH FUNGICIDES
If it is necessary to perform a treatment against fungal diseases, the treatment with the selected fungicide in the concentration specified in its label should be performed earlier than 3 days after the application of the K-PAK preparation on the plant.
-
Before preparing the working solution, determine the exact amount needed.
Pour the measured amount of K-PAK preparation into the sprayer tank partially filled with water. Rinse empty containers three times with water, and pour the washings into the sprayer tank with the working solution and top up with the necessary amount of water. Then mix the liquid throughly.
If K-PAK is used together with plant protection products, first prepare the plant protection product working solution and then add K-PAK.
Use the working solution prepared in the sprayer tank on the same day it was prepared.
-
The preparation is used in the form of a sprawy, after dilution in water.
The product is intended for use with field, orchard and manual sprayers.
The use of K-PAK does not require the addition of adjuvants to the working solution.
K-PAK should be used when the first colonies of pests appear.
The preparation maintains its effectiveness for up to 14 days after the application. If necessary, repeat the treatment after 14 days.
K-PAK product packaging available : 1 l, 5 l
-
- The preparation should be used out of bee activity periods, on dry and undamaged plants.
- The product should be used in the morning or evening, during the day only in cloudy weather, throughly covering with working solution all places where pests feed.
- The preparation should not be used at least 2 hours before the expected rainfall, as it may wash off the preparation from sprayed plant surfaces and reduce the effectiveness.
- When controlling spider mites, spray the lower and upper sides of the leaf throughly.
- When spraying, do not allow the working solution to drip from the leaves to avoid any potential danger for more sensitive plants.
- During the phytotoxicity studies of the K-PAK preparation on selected species and varieties of fruit, vegetable and ornamental plants, no symptoms of phytotoxicity were found. It is recommended, however, that before using the preparation, a trial treatment should be carried out on several plants sprayed for the first time to check for signs of phytotoxicity.
- The preparation should not be used together with adjuvants or wetting agents.
- Use the preparation only in recommended concentrations.
- The amount of water used for the treatment should be adjusted to the size and density of crops.
- In the case of high pest intensity, especially those difficukt to control, K-PAK can be used together with traditional insecticides, e.g. with abamectin 18 EC. Laboratory tests show full compatibility of abamectin 18 EC and K-PAK. Before using the tank mixture of K-PAK with any other plant protection product, such mixture should always be checked for physical compatability and to exclude any phytotoxicity.
- If it is necessary to perform a treatment against fungal diseases, the treatment with the chosen fungicide in the concentration specified in its label, it should be performed no earlier than 3 days after applying K-PAK on the plant.
- Shelf-life: 4 years.

K-PAK operation mechanism
K-PAK is a silicone product based on modern technology, with a non-specific mode of action in relation to pests. The main component of K-PAK is modified trisiloxane that increase the wettability of hydrophobic surfaces, and thus guaranteeing more effecrive coverage, in particular of leaves, other plant parts and pests feeding on them, which die as a result of disruption of physiological processes. The K-PAK preparation is effective in combating pests (including aphids and spider mites) commonly found in large numbers on many plant species.
K-PAK product technology
The mode of action of organically modified siloxanes depends on their structure. The process of obtaining the polymer contained in the K-PAK product guarantees purity from residues in the form of physically inactive cyclic siloxanes. As a result, the product reaches its destination fasterm which results in a better effect of immobilizing the pest (excellent adhesion of the preparation). The pest has no chance of “escaping and hiding”.
The modern solution proposed by Synthos Agro guarantees the user, above all, high efficiency and safety of using the product. K-PAK is resistant to hydrolysis at pH 5.5 – 8.5.
The product is safer for the environment than traditional chemical solutions (it biodegrades over time (55% for a concentration of 28 mg per liter after 28 days), does not bioaccumulate).
Dead insects may remain within the leaves of the treated crops for several days, and after some tome they fall of e.g. in rain or strong wind.
K-PAK is not a plant protection product and does not contain any chemical active substances contained in traditional pesticides. It is an alternative to chemical plant protection products controlling pests.
The product has no grace period, which enable the protection of crops just before the fruit harvest without fear of residual active substances.
Contrary to the majority of traditional plant protection products, K-PAK does not interfere with the biochemical life processes of the pests, which is why they cannot become resistant to its components.
