Synthos Agro, a Polish producer of plant protection products, has developed a groundbreaking solution – DISFERA™ 090 EC fungicide, marking a significant step forward in the field of crop protection.
The ULT AGRO technology used in DISFERA™ 090 EC represents a pioneering innovation – it is the first such significant, patented advancement in the fungicide sector globally. DISFERA™ 090 EC is a concentrate for preparing a water emulsion, exhibits systemic action, and is intended for both preventive and curative use in protecting plants against diseases caused by pathogenic fungi.
The product contains 90 g/l of the active substance difenoconazole. The solution is based on the use of a proliposomal matrix (base solution). When combined with water, it triggers microencapsulation of the active substance and the transformation of proliposomes into liposomes (working solution, with the active substance enclosed inside the liposomes). Thanks to their structure, liposomes act as nanocarriers, facilitating the penetration of difenoconazole through plant cell membranes and accelerating its action against pathogens.
The affinity of liposomes to cell membranes increases the bioavailability of the active substance, while the presence of phospholipids enhances the adhesion of spray droplets to leaves and facilitates the fungicide’s penetration into plant cells. This approach allows for a reduction in the amount of active substance used while maintaining high effectiveness in protecting crops against pathogenic fungi.
The ULT AGRO technology is Synthos Agro’s response to current challenges posed by European Union regulations. It also addresses the growing number of restrictions on the use of active substances, often due to the risks they pose to non-target organisms.
